The summer super hero blockbusters are in full swing, and Green Lantern is the leader of the pack. Based on the comic strip classic, Green Lantern draws his superhuman powers from a magical ring and joins the ranks of intergalactic peace keepers. Tranquility is lost when the villainous Parallax aims to take charge of the universe. Green Lantern can be a bit cheesy at times, but that’s what we love about the mega super hero flicks. No rules and plenty of action make Green Lantern a two thumbs-up thrill ride. Green Lantern was directed by Martin Campbell and stars Ryan Reynolds in the title role. Green Lantern also stars Blake Lively, Peter Saraquaard, Mark Strong, Temuera Morrison, Jenna Craig, and Jon Tenney. Green Lantern is rated PG and makes a great night out at the movies for all ages.
